Mark your calendars for Saturday Feb 8 from 10-2:00. The Denison (Texas) Public Library is hosting the first ever Denison LitCon on February 8th from 10am-2pm. There will be costume contests, voice actors, authors, VR gaming (for ages 13+), caricature art, trading card games, and more. You won’t want to miss it!
After the morning publishing panel, Amy (and others) will have books available to sign. Come on out and ask questions, hang out, learn about publishing, and maybe “adopt” a paw-tographed book!

I’ll be speaking on an author panel at Denison Library at 10:15 –and later signing books.
Yes, I’ll have assorted copies of both my cat and dog nonfiction titles, and the pet-centric thrillers. Y’all come! Lots for adults AND kiddoes to do! More details here: https://www.denisontx.gov/720/Denison-LitCon

Are you curious about the publishing process? Have you ever considered publishing your own book? If so, join us on February 8th at 10:15am for The Journey to Publication Panel to hear how these local authors got started!

Amy Shojai is a certified animal behavior consultant, and the award-winning author of 35+ pet care titles. She also writes a pet-centric September & Shadow Thriller Series featuring an animal behaviorist and her German Shepherd service dog. Amy began her career writing for the “pet press” (paper magazines, go figure!), and has since published traditionally with New York houses and an agent. More recently, she jumped off the self-publishing cliff and now publishes independently (Ebooks, print, audio) under her own Furry Muse Publications imprint. You can find her all over social media, and at her Shojai.com website or blogging at AmyShojai.com.
If you’d like me to speak or present in your neck of the woods, feel free to reach out and we’ll see if we can make it happen! See you Saturday February 8!
