Does your puppy “shake hands” when you ask? How about pawing you when you don’t ask? Shadow often paws my arm in a bid for attention–but sometimes a pooch simply raises a paw. What’s it all mean?
Today’s ASK AMY video offers some clues. And I’ve got an article on puppy body language that provides even more tips on deciphering what your puppy’s trying to tell you.

I love hearing from you, so please share comments and questions. Do you have an ASK AMY question you’d like answered? Do you have a new kitten and need answers? Stay up to date on all the latest just subscribe the blog, “like” me on Facebook, and sign up for Pet Peeves newsletter.

My dog lifts her paw so I can [and will!] rub her tummy! I started doing that whenever she jumped into my lap when she first came to live here . Now she’s spoiled and wants everyone to do it! [she even rolled over for the delivery man the other day!]
Hah! That’s so cute. Seems you’ve “trained” each other, LOL!
I clicked over to read the post. I really need to bookmark these ones for when I’m in a place to watch the video (on the train right now). Thanks for sparking my curiosity.
*s* I know, I do the same thing and have a file where I save the url for later.
