Faithful readers may notice something “different” about the blog this past week or so. I tried a grand experiment a couple of years ago, with advertisements on the site. I’ve always provided recommended products when appropriate, and some of those include affiliate links. You’ll know those posts because I include this cute icon:

Well, at first the advertisements (and especially the videos) added lots of value to my blog. I even earned a bit of pocket changed each month. But over time, once the “trial” period went away, the AI-driven ads supposedly designed to show only to “interested visitors” instead began to swarm my content. In some instances, there were so many pop-ups and zooming videos, that subscribers couldn’t exit out long enough to read the content.

Life Means Change–Begone, Funky Ads!

Yes, I heard about it–loud and clear! So, I shut down many of the ads, which of course lowered revenue–and honestly, there wasn’t all that much $$ anyway, maybe $30-50 on a good month. That’s hardly worth the trouble, or the aggravation to me–or to you! So, I pulled the plug on EZOIC ads–they may work fine on larger sites. But my top priority with BLING, BITCHES & BLOOD is providing good info-tainment to YOU, my faithful readers.

From time to time, you’ll still see affiliate links, or sponsored blog posts, or commercial reviews of products you might find of interest. Pet product companies and others with interest in working with me can still reach out, and I’d love to connect for possible collaberation.

But I turn down a whole lot of pitches because–well, often they’re crappiocca products (as my fictional character September would say), don’t fit my audience (no, I don’t write for or about human babies!), and/or don’t provide the value you deserve.

Weird Image Issues & AWOL Videos

Because I’ve deleted all the ad interface, you may see a bit of wonky-ness here and there. Some of my cute, wonderful image illustrations have disappeared, and I’m replacing those as I find them. That means you’ll see some older posts reappear, hopefully with a bit of spiffed up content.

Also, most of my videos also have gone away. That means the all-mighty GOOGLE can’t find much of my video content, so I’m re-posting those as I can. If you’re in a hurry, you can find ’em all at my YouTube channel, and I’ll recreate the “strays” as I can.

Thanks in advance for your patience, and your faithfulness following my blog during this grand experiment. I’m in the throws of fictioning these days, working on book #8 in my thriller series. So much of my blog posts in the coming weeks likely will consist of refreshed evergreen posts. Enjoy!
