Karma-Kat, Shadow-Pup, and Trinity-Kitten have distinct preferences and personalities. Yes, I’m one of those hoomins who turns healthy table food into dog treats and cat treats. Interestingly enough, though, my three furry stooges actually have three favorite pet treats. In no particular order, here’s what turns on the wags and purrs at our house!
Greenies Dental Treats

Shhhh, don’t tell them that Greenies are GOOD for them! Yes, the product comes in a few different flavors (pumpkin spice? gingerbread?!) and sizes–big ones for big dog treats, and these cat-shaped small ones for cat treats. I get the jumbo-size canister and use them to treat all the pets. You don’t see Karma in the picture because he’s waiting (out of frame) for me to toss them across the floor. Then it’s sniffy-seek-and-munch time!
All three of my furry wonders get great dental checkups from the vet. I suspect part of that has to do with routine use of dental treats designed to help prevent problems. You can get Greenies at most pet pet product stores, the pet aisle at grocery stores, and of course, order Greenies from Chewy or from Greenies on Amazon.
Churu for Cats (but Shadow-Pup loves it, too!)

In many flavors, the Churu squeezable soft mousse treat from Inaba turns Karma and Trinity into gobble-monsters! I keep the tubes in the table drawer next to the sofa and usually treat in the evenings. All it takes is the rattle of the drawer-pull to bring both cats running from anywhere in the house. In the picture you can see how Trinity paw-claws my hand (usually with both paws!) to muscle Karma out of the way and hog it all for herself. I get mine in bulk either purchasing Churu from Chewy (30% off Churu Cat treats with code: CYBER30 on Chewy), the local pet products store, or Churu selection on Amazon.

Shadow also insists on a taste. But he’ll put his whole muzzle over the entire tube and strip it all in one big swallow. The cats are NOT amused. Churu does offer meal toppers for dogs (just found those on Chewy here) but to be honest, I’ve not tried those. Have you? I prefer a lickable treat. So I was thrilled when a new-to-me company reached out and sent Shadow their product to sample.
Rigby Pets Squeeze Pouch for Dogs

Made for dogs with organic, whole-food ingredients. Shadow became an immediate fan. Billed as “treats so good you don’t need a leash,” they can be used for training or treating anytime. Both the beef and chicken flavors were winners for Shadow. And yep, the cats wanted in on the treat bonanza, too!
I see on the RigbyPets.com website that a turkey flavor will soon be available (great if you don’t want to share from your Thanksgiving table, right?). They’re also touted for helping administer medication. And, for Black Friday, they’re giving a discount for first time orders. They’re also available here on Amazon.
Founded in 2024 and headquartered in Los Angeles, California, Rigby is the first-ever premium squeeze pouch company for dogs, striving to cultivate better relationships between humans and their pups. We believe that dogs deserve the same level of nutritional excellence as every other member of the family. All Rigby pouches are made with 100% organic ingredients, no fillers, binder or preservatives, and are sourced from some of the best quality farms in the country.
