Amy Shojai Releases Cat Facts & Dog Facts Series!

Cat-Dog Facts-Series

As promised last week in this post, the first installments in the CAT FACTS, THE SERIES #1 and DOG FACTS, THE SERIES #1 are now available! They are only $2.99 and are also FREE to those with a Amazon Prime membership.

CAT FACTS and DOG FACTS, THE SERIES offer economical treat-size sections to make it easy to choose only the specific information you need. Each of these CHAPTER A (#1) installments provides these detailed topic entries covering what to do, home care, vet care and more.

In addition to the gorgeous full color pictures and illustrations alongside the alphabetical “A” list of various conditions and cat or dog specific topics, you’ll find:

  • Charts that list symptoms for a particular condition, the corresponding home care or first aid, the comparative veterinarian and holistic treatments, and preventive advice
  • A symptoms/conditions table that helps you identify what ailments might be bothering your cat
  • Breed-At-A-Glance chart to compare personality, looks, care challenges and other issues when choosing your pedigreed cat
  • Contact information for dozens of cat organizations and veterinary resources

I hope the launch of each of these series brings the information in a more economical and accessible way to more cat and dog “pet parents” and helps y’all celebrate the wonderful companions that share our lives! (Please SHARE this with anyone who might benefit…)

These two series consist of each individual excerpted chapter & the appendices from the complete books CAT FACTS: The Pet Parent’s A-to-Z Home Care Encyclopedia and DOG FACTS: The Pet Parent’s A-to-Z Home Care Encyclopedia.

  1. I love this! Thank you! Awesome information to have at our fingertips! I have Amazon Prime so this is extra pawsome for me!

  2. What a great series. I’m sure this would be something any cat or dog owner would love to have on hand and I like how quick and easy it is to search the topics A-Z.

    • Thanks Kelly. I’ve read a LOT of pet care books over the years, and there are outstanding authors with great content. But for me, one of the key issues is accessibility: can you easily access the info that you need. So with this series–and with the complete CAT FACTS and DOG FACTS books–that was a priority for me.

  3. Awesome! Will definitely be checking this out with my Amazon Prime membership. I love they are affordable too, for those who don’t have Prime. Hopefully they will be a great resource to everyone, even those on a budget! Congrats on your books!!!

  4. This is great info to share, Amy! I love the idea of keeping it “nugget sized,” and making it compartmentalized for average pet parents! I have a subscription to Prime, so I’m definitely going to check it out….as well as your thrillers with bite! 🙂

  5. I’m sharing this on FB. I love the complete book, but I have a lot of cat and dog friends who would enjoy and need this information.

I’m within the last 45 minutes of completing the audiobook of Lost and Found! I LOVE it!

    • Me, too. And I had a few reviewers say they started by looking up one thing…and then got caught up checking out the next item, and the next, and the next. To make it as user friendly as possible, each entry is also cross-referenced with other pertinent entries.

    • Me too, Carol! I just found out I’ll be signing books at the book signing on Saturday, too, so will bring a couple of the complete print copies. Oh, and there will be other CWA members signing books at our booth in the exhibit hall, too (between all the FANTASTIC sessions from BlogPaws and CWA). Stay tuned…I just heard from Lea-Ann (our p.r. purr-son) that an interview with Mark Coker from Smashwords will soon be posted.

    • Ha! Ya know, when I first started writing for pet magazines, each time I researched a new subject I started seeing symptoms in my pets. I’ve gotten better about that. *s* It’s one reason all the books (the series as well as complete encyclopedias) include the “symptoms/conditions” chart in the back to help readers know potential issues–and when they MUST get vet care immediately, vs when they may be fine treating that issue at home. It sure does NOT replace your vet…but can help you give the veterinarian the info needed to better help your dog or cat. That’s the plan, anyway.

  6. You are an inspiration – love your fiction and factual work. Congratulations as these sound like excellent resources for pet parents. The format and information sound very useful.
